Good afternoon, everyone:

       For those who attended the class last week, you would probably recognize me by the so-called cool appearance. And today, I’d like to introduce myself briefly at first. Then, I will present you some handy resource platforms, since I discovered that there’re many individuals in our WeChat group labeling themselves as freshman.

       So, about me. I’m Morley Olsen. （第一部分涉及隐私问题，故不在此处放置specific introduction了）I’m not equipped with many fancy skills due to being a nerd as required for most of my life.

       Okay, so much for the introduction part. Now, I’d like to share the point of today’s presentation, which is how to gain useful information in CAU.

       The first one is Comprehensive Service Platform, the most authoritative information platform in our school. Most important campus notices are published here, including competitions, scholarships, holidays, certificate and infrastructure. Take a recent notification for example. It’s about confirming the results of the annual physical examination report, which determines whether we can successfully graduate from college. And I personally found that my results were empty on account of some system error, so I made contact with the relevant personnel and got them fixed in time.

       The second one is CAU-Cabbage, a guiding website constructed by a senior. It contains a variety of materials concerning postgraduate recommendation, even the minority approaches. You can grasp a general view of the specific policy in your own college and make full preparations in the following years if you intend to choose this path for future. In addition, you can search for the details of common tests such as CET and leave some anonymous comments to show your opinions.

       The third one is Burning Vocabulary. I must say that it’s the most powerful and practical website that I’ve utilized for CET. On this web, you can choose the free version or the paid version according to your personal needs. In the free version, you can access and download all sets of exams since 2012, with complete answers and listening tapes. In the paid version, more functions, such as quick word-searching, will be available. However, the free version has a fatal flaw, which is a destined website crash during the period when CET is approaching soon. So be sure to download the electronic files in time!

       In a nutshell, keep Comprehensive Service Platform, CAU-Cabbage and Burning Vocabulary in mind in case you need them. Although you may define me as a boring person after hearing all this, I will extend a helping hand if you need any advice varying from academics to emotions.
