Postdoctoral Research Associate in Catalysis with NMR monitoring
University of York
Role Description
Applications are invited for a Research Associate position in Magnetic Resonance to work in the group of Prof Simon Duckett in the Centre for Hyperpolarisation in the Department of Chemistry at the University of York. This position is available for a fixed period of up to 36 months. The research associate will work towards creating the hyperpolarization battery to magnify NMR signals and improve analysis as part of the MAGNIFY research project funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through the European Research Council Guarantee scheme. The goal of MAGNIFY is to develop methods to improve the ability of NMR to analyse materials. Specific emphasis will be placed on achieving the identification and quantification of molecules and their roles in catalysis.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team led by Prof Simon Duckett and assist with the supervision of other researchers in the group. This position will suit candidates with experience in magnetic resonance, catalysis and synthesis.
